Firewall prompt window with poor info
Hello to all
As a Total Security user, I want to manage the firewall rules by myself, in the same way I did in the last 20 years with Comodo Firewall
Now, as you can see from the screenshots, it is very difficult to understand correctly which 'exe' file want to communicate, normally (in other software) you put the cursor steady on the window, above the path, and a balloon rise showing to you the full path, no more truncated
In Bitdefender Total Security this doesn’t happen, you have to hit always the View Application link to understand something more. Yes, then the answer will be stored in the rules, but it is a very boring method
Is not possible to make that alert window more smart? It’s a shame to have this behavior, it make the whole software less valuable…

Hello SuperMatico :)
If memory serves, wasn't Comodo a stand-alone firewall developed during the era of Windows XP one-way firewall?
We had the likes of Comodo and Zone Alarm etc. all fully equipped to be in-depth and very informative firewall(s). Comodo then added the AV component. So the main foundation of their stand-alone streamlined firewall was still in place, but now with antivirus. Bitdefender is an AV on steroids that also includes a firewall and all of the other security features and tools. For now, we may have to click an extra time and it may not be ideal, but to me, it isn't that much of an issue.
Others here have also posted suggestions to help improve the firewall as you have, in this sub-forum:

Thank you for your feedback, we always appreciate it here on the forum. And welcome :)
