Large Windows Update?

There is no way there is windows update this large, I think this is the result of failed windows updates or is it possible malware?

Theres comments online ive found of other microsoft products like forza 5 and microsoft flight simulator trying to do a 104 gb update. There is no way this is windows update that's just ridiculous can someone explain this to me.

I find it suspicious that multiple products all need an update of the same file size.

I looked into it and microsoft said that this update has issues

I ran the scan twice and it didn't find that as a vulnerability the second time but this is not the first time this has happened over the years and when it happened before packets were still being downloaded as it attempted to do a windows update which would never take anyways and just wasted my time.

I think there is an issue here thats been there for awhile in how the bitdefender app understands microsoft updates hope this helps point someone in the right direction because the app would have downloaded 104 gb to probably do nothing as thats what it did on a previous machine another time. 10 minutes later and a second scan and it doesnt need that update? It makes no sense that these even show up to me.

  • This is silly. I have this issue as do probably many others. Why not just post the response here? Why ask your team to handle this on an individual basis, when apparently it's a common problem?

Kindly go forward and check for windows update manually.

Secondly, the KB******** number that is shown on bitdefender dashboard, copy that number and search it on microsoft catalog download (https://www.catalog.update.microsoft.com/Home.aspx)

Share the screenshot and let us know what size do you see of the download for the respective KB********

Not everything can be resolved on forums. Community forum is only meant to resolve issue on smaller basis which do not require extensive research. Hence, whether you like it or not, in some cases there is a need to contact bitdefender support directly in order to get your issue resolved on urgent basis.
