Bitdefender AV update details
Hello,
I'm curious how Bitdefender AV updates work.
In addition to the build updates, can the scanning engine updates improve / fix some operation bugs?
That is, if you realize that there is a working bug, can this be fixed even with a small engine update without a build update?
Can these bug fixes also be fixed with definition updates?

If we're taking about a fix that needs to be deployed with urgency, an update such as the 'hotfix' usually does the job. Prevention is one of the reasons behind the rollout updates and together with the rigorous testing that is being done beforehand, such measures are meant to ensure smooth functionality. If there are any red flags or inconclusive results during testing, it's better to postpone the release until you are absolutely certain that the build meets the required standards and does not pose any functionality concerns.
To answer your question, yes, definition updates can also fix things, but only to some extent.
