BD Internet Security On Windows 11: Deactivated "Password protection" For The Settings. Any Help?
I have two computers one desktop one laptop, desktop win10home and laptop win11home.
i am saving my settings on bitdefender internet security with password, more than 8 letters small big numbers symbols etc.
after bitdefender update process, or if i restart my laptop, bitdefender deactivate password protection setting. my laptop has new fresh installation of win11. On my desktop with win10 there is no problem. Does anyone else has the same problem with win11? Thank you.

Hi @Grigorios
I just tried it on my end, Windows 11 and Total Security, with no issues. I did a restart and a shutdown with a restart, and ran a couple of BD updates. Specs below:
If you wanted to run a Repair, that may resolve the issue. But it can also reset some of your saved settings back to their defaults.
Kind regards,
Scott

My turn ;) It disabled for me today. I ran a System Scan, and after it was done while clicking and ticking through Notification and Settings, I noticed it was turned off. As Gjoski said, randomly, no particular time interval. Again, this is on Windows 11 64-bit. I don't know if the scan had anything to do with it. Otherwise, it was fine the last time I checked this morning.

:Same issue with windows 11. I have had sever oddities with bitdefender and windows 11. Some resolved with uninstall and reinstall, this one isn't resolved that way. I also am thinking it is triggering 11 to think there are issues at time and bsod as well but no proof of that yet.

Hi,
The reports indicate the product password may be removed randomly after a day or two. @upuaut what Bitdefender version do you have? As far as I'm aware, a fix has already been deployed, however, the update rollout is still ongoing and maybe the build hasn't reached you yet.

Which is the newest build. So I think such a quick fix was maybe a little..optimistic, and may be in a following update, as you mentioned.

Hello.
Windows 10 Pro 64-bit 22H2 build 19045.2546, Windows Feature Experience Pack 120.2212.4190.0, with the latest Windows updates.
BD Total Security build 26.0.32.123 updated on January 31, 2023.
Today on 9:00 AM local time, i enabled "Password protection", next 30 minutes later i checked to see if the setting is still enabled, but i found out that the "Password protection" setting was disabled by itself.
So far, no fix.
Regards.

@Alexandru_BD, with this being so "widespread," do the engineers need any log files, or is it easily reproduced on your, thier end, too?

Hi,
The issue has been reproduced internally and a fix has been already found, however, the developers are still testing it and they released a limited update containing some adjustments. They are waiting to gather more live feedback from this limited rollout to deploy the final fix, as soon as they receive confirmation it's working 100%.
