Bitdefender is blocking WinSetView
I want to globally set Explorer folder views in Windows 11 using WinSetView but Bitdefender keeps blocking it even if switched off:
'Malicious command line detected
Feature: Antivirus
The app was passed a malicious command line and has been blocked. Your device is now safe. Command line: "C:\Windows\System32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0\powershell.exe" -NoLogo -ExecutionPolicy Bypass -File .\WinSetView.ps1 "B:\INSTALLATION\WinSetView-main\AppData\Win10.ini"'
Is there anyway I can run WinSetView without having to uninstall Bitdefender?

You can set exceptions for WinSetView utility .exe in the Advanced Threat Defense module settings, as follows:
You can also use the below menu to set exceptions. Go to Protection -> Antivirus -> Settings to add the exclusion for the security modules displayed and let us know how it goes.

Any update from the OP on your results with Support.
I'm attempting to use the exact same software and running into the exact same Bitdefender notification. Likewise, I can't seem to manually add an exception that works.
If they were able to guide you to a functional solution, I'd appreciate you sharing it here, rather than me needing to open a support ticket of my own.

I am afraid I did not open a ticket because soon after my query Explorer Patcher was updated which allowed me to get rid of the new useless Windows 11 Explorer interface.

As noted, it's the "Advanced Threat Detection" that blocks the PowerShell execution. There should be a way to turn that off without uninstalling BitDefender, but I did not see that option in the free version.

In general, the two are not related. That is, patching Windows 11 to get back certain Windows 10 capabilities is separate from globally setting your preferred default Explorer folder views. However, if you were dealing with the Windows 11 folder type setting bugs, then Explorer Patcher or StartAllBack would be the fix. Or if you were looking at WinSetView strictly for the option to get the old right-click menu back (a simple, single registry change) that might also explain your comment.
Anyhow, regardless of the patches you've applied, I think you'll find value in setting your preferred default views using WinSetView, and it's a simple matter to temporarily turn off "Advanced Threat Defense". I really don't understand why no one else suggested that. Setting up an exception is not worth the trouble and, apparently, did not work in this case.
