Advanced Threat Defense disabled and won't enable
Hi,
Newbie here asking for help if anyone can. The Advanced Threat Defense on my Bitdefender is disabled and it won't let me activate it.
Pressing "Enable" doesn't do anything and if I try to enable it inside Protection, the slider moves but nothing happens, and it's switched off again upon reloading the console.
Updated Bitdefender this morning and done a system restart but it's still happening.
This is on a Toshiba Satellite laptop 4MB RAM running on Windows 10.
Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks,
David

Hi David :)
I would try running a Repair. Chances are pretty good that this will take care of it for you. Otherwise, post back.
Kind regards,
Scott

Hello @Davideo,
Check for other security solutions and uninstall them. Restart the computer and try to activate ATD a couple of times. If there aren't any other solutions installed on the device and nothing else helps, more details from the machine are required for troubleshooting, such as logs and you should contact the Support engineers for further assistance on this matter.
You can use the link below to get in touch with them:

I'd like to know why this is as well. I have exactly the same problem and I've done everything. Multiple restarts, reinstall, the works. Nothing fixes it. Can someone help here?

There are a few reasons why Bitdefender Advanced Threat Defense might be disabled and won't enable. Here are some possible causes and solutions:
1) The feature is disabled in the Bitdefender settings. To check this, open Bitdefender and go to Protection > Advanced Threat Defense. Make sure that the switch next to Bitdefender Advanced Threat Defense is turned on.
2) The feature is blocked by another security software. If you have another antivirus or security software installed, it might be blocking Bitdefender Advanced Threat Defense. Try disabling the other security software and see if that allows you to enable Bitdefender Advanced Threat Defense.
3) There is a problem with your Bitdefender installation. If you've tried the above solutions and Bitdefender Advanced Threat Defense is still disabled, you might have a problem with your Bitdefender installation. Try restarting your computer and see if that fixes the problem. If not, you might need to uninstall and reinstall Bitdefender.
