VPN and Web Protection
Ref: Mobile Security for IOS.
Bitdefender tech support have advised me that it's better to use Web Protection for general browsing and Bitdefender VPN for open wi-fi spots at cafes, hotels, etc etc.
But, unless I'm missing something, Web Protection doesn't block ads and trackers, whereas Bitdefender VPN DOES block them.
Therefore, wouldn't VPN be a better option across the board, as opposed to Web Protection? Also, whenever I have VPN on, Web Protection warns me that my 'online activity is at risk.' But VPN is supposed to make me invisible, so I shouldn't be at risk. Any help and feedback would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

G'day mate,
As I understand it, a VPN gives you a pipeline through their servers in other, which effectively gives you an anonymous connection to the www.
A VPN does not filter what you see on the screen, it does not protect you from malware, or any of the nasties on the net.
All a VPN does is hide your identity, making it harder for others to track you.
If you want to block ads, and trackers, get yourself a decent ad blocker, which should do the job.
As I tell people all the time, no AV app/program is infallible, so keep your eyes open, and be wary of what's out there.
Good luck mate 👍

Hello :)
If you have a subscription to Total Security, you can install it on an Android as well as an iOS device.
Otherwise, you would need to purchase a separate Mobil Security license.
Kind regards,
Scott
