how do i exclude bitdefender AV+ from blocking .pyc files ?
I have a specialised design doftware (SDS/2) that relies on python code / scripts.
no matter how many .py or .pyc files I exclude thay are still flagged with 'generic.PY.ReverseShell' this efectivly renders the design software useless.
any ideas ?

thanks for the quick reply, I tried creating a new job & no issues have arises…. looks like Bitdefender is correctly flagging an issue. I will pass back to the engineer I got the files from.

This issue has been brought up before, and I'm not sure if it was ever resolved. But, try clearing out your exceptions, then in Antivirus/Advanced settings, disable Bitdefender Shield, then add the exceptions again, and re-enable Bitdefender Shield. I'm not sure if it will work in this case like it has for some others, but just thought I'd mention it.
Otherwise, I would contact support, and see if they have any suggestions.
Select, How Tos & Troubleshooting→Troubleshooting and go through the prompts until you get to the black Contact Support box. You will have the the options of Chat, Call or Email. Chat is the quickest way to get thing started, phone support is not toll-free.
