Icon missing

Bitdefender 27.40.174 Win11

There is no Bitdefender icon showing on taskbar or under 'hidden icons'

It also doesn't appear anywhere even if I manually start Bitdefender.

How can I get this icon back (so I know Bitdefender is actually running when I boot up!)

    Hello, this issue is happening to me and to a friend of mine too. I did a reinstall and after a while it disappeared again. The solution provided by Flexx is just a patch or a work around to fix it but i got questions about this issue.

    1. Bitdefender knows this is a general issue now?
    2. Even if the icon is missing, the app is still working at its 100%?
    3. How i know Bitdefender is actually working even if i dont see the icon there?
    4. Why is this happening? Is going to be fixed?

    I dont mind not seeing the taskbar icon there i just want to make sure that the software is working perfectly and nothing has changed. I am on Win 11 and on the latest version too…

    Hi @pregunton,

    1. This is not a known issue.
    2. Yes, even if the icon is not there, Bitdefender will be active.
    3. The functionality of the security suite does not depend on the systray icon. You can check the Windows security center to see the overall protection status, or open Bitdefender fom the desktop icon. You can also enable the Widget. This allows you to have an overview of your Bitdefender security software without opening the product’s interface.
    4. Nothing to fix for now. But we would require more information in order to perform a few checks. What Windows build version do you have, what does 'after a while, after restart' mean (is it one day, a week, etc.) and does the icon disappear after shutdown?
