Anyone know what to do about Webview error in Bitdefender Main when Activating?

Removed free version and re-installed but am left with blank BD Main window and the following error after clicking the sign in button.

Error dialog is titled "Rundll".

Error is "Error in C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft\EdgeWebView\Application\130.0.2849.56\msedgewebview2.exe

Missing entry: —embedded-browser-webview=1"

My sanity is on the line, please help. I'd like to make a few choice recommendations to Microsoft about what to do with Webview and all the other bits of dross they force onto users and for which every method of removal is gradually rendered inoperable. I wish people wouldn't write software that depends on Microsoft's bloatware.

Have you tried clearing the cache of the browsers you use?

    Hi,

Sorry to hear you're experiencing these issues.

It appears that your WebView2 installation is corrupted. To try and fix the issue, go to Apps and features → find Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime → click on it and choose "Modify" → Repair.

Let us know if this fixes the issue.

Already tried that. Unfortunately didn't work. When I get the time I'll see if I can scrub Webview2, Edge and anything even remotely related and reinstall. If that doesn't work I'll try scrubbing every last trace of Bitdefender and reinstalling.

This error typically indicates that there's a problem with the Microsoft Edge Webview component that Bitdefender relies on. To resolve this, you can try reinstalling both Bitdefender and Microsoft Edge and plz make sure they're updated to the latest versions. Sometimes, these errors can also occur due to conflicts with other software or outdated system files. It's important to note that while it's unrelated to this specific issue, ensuring your system is free of unrelated software like third-party streaming apps which can sometimes help in troubleshooting by reducing potential conflicts.
