Antispam keeps turning itself back on after reboot

I see there is a discussion about this that was closed without resolution because the author abandoned Bitdefender. I would like to reopen this issue.

This is still happening, at least for me, in Windows 11, MS Office 16 Outlook.

This has been driving me nuts for some time. After every reboot, the Antispam on/off slider slides to the "on" position by itself. I don't see a "Remember settings" option anywhere on the Antispam page or in the program options. It is not remembering to stay off, obviously.

I checked my Outlook and it is running fine and used Microsoft's tool to be sure there is no corruption of the data files. I even reinstalled Bitdefender to the latest version with a clean reinstall. No dice. Keeps happening.

I would actually consider keeping the Bitdefender Antispam filter and ditching my old one if there was a setting to stop injecting text into the suspected SPAM Subject header such as " [Bitdefender detected potentially unsolicited bulk email]", which is the worst offender because it appears for almost every email of every mailing list I subscribe to. Not good.

My personal solution for now, which I've confirmed only stops Antispam and no other Bitdefender component is to:
1. Start Outlook as an administrator by right-clicking on the Outlook program icon and selecting 'Run as administrator'.
2. On my version of Outlook, I select File > Options. In the options menus, select Add-ins. At the bottom of the page, look for Manage: COM Add-ins and click Go…. . Look for the Bitdefender Antispam add-in in the list, select it and click the Remove button.

I was concerned that Bitdefender would add the Antispam add-in back to Outlook, but so far so good. Lets see what happens at the next update…

Am I really the only user this is happening to? Seems hard to believe.
