Bitdefender version update failing
I run Bitdefender Total security on several devices. On my desktop it is running version 27.0.45.220 but on my laptop it has been stuck on version 27.0.40.174 for several months now. Its updating but not the version.
What can be done?

Hi @JPK,
Although I'm uncertain why the software would be stuck on that version for such a long time, I think reinstalling Bitdefender on that machine should bring it up to date with the latest version. At least this is what I would do in this scenario.

@Alexandru_BD would running a Repair work, or would a total uninstall and reinstall have the greater chance of downloading and installing the latest version?

Dear all of you rescuers!
Thank you for your assistance and advice. This is much appreciated, really.
However, just this morning Bitdefender itself came with the solution. I received a notification that this device "is no longer protected" And there was a link to enable protection, which I accepted of course. And the BD was updated to the current version 27.0.45.220!
Problem solved. So, I didn't have to uninstall and then reinstall Bitdefender.
Good performance by BD.
