Why change to Secure pass??
Can someone please tell me why I should change from Password Manager to Secure pass when Secure pass offers less options as is shown in this link.

Hi @Heliox
For now, you are not alone with your question, as there have been about 3 other posts in the last week or so that came to the same conclusion, to stay with Password Manager.
Even though Password Manager is no longer being sold on the Bitdefender store website, it will still be supported for the foreseeable future, no EOL has been mentioned.
I would say stick with Password Manager, as Bitdefender is still getting feedback regarding SecurePass and until more of the "growing pains" issues have been worked out.
Kind Regards.

Hi Scott,
Thanks for the update will do as you suggest. Was heading that way but needed a sense check as I see no difference in the two

I adopted SecurePass today. Followed the export/import instructions. I had one Wallet with Password Mgr. The export/.csv process only imported one-third of my account/passwords. Dang.
Question: you said …"it will still be supported for the foreseeable future, no EOL has been mentioned." but the BD email to me said EOL was mid-January. So, you think I can go back to Wallet and survive past next month?
I have a few other "issues" with the new SecurePass. Bottom line: They released it too early. Do I look like their Software testing dept? I'm too old for that!

Hello,
The email you received had to do with Password Manager in no longer being able to purchase it. It is still supported, as I mentioned:
From this link:
End-of-Sale Date: November 28, 2024
As of November 28, 2024, Bitdefender Password Manager will no longer be available for new purchases on the official Bitdefender website.
Implications for Existing Users
Customers with active Bitdefender Password Manager subscriptions will continue to receive full product access and support. They may renew their subscriptions as usual, ensuring uninterrupted service.
As far as going back to Wallet, that has been discontinued, so there is no going back:
Bitdefender Password Manager to replace Bitdefender Wallet
On April 5, 2023 we will begin the End of Life (EOL) process for our legacy Bitdefender Wallet feature, which will be replaced by Bitdefender Password Manager, our new and more advanced offering. Bitdefender Password Manager is a next-generation multi-platform service that helps store and organize all your passwords.
From my BD AV Plus UI:
"I have a few other "issues" with the new SecurePass. Bottom line: They released it too early. Do I look like their Software testing dept? I'm too old for that!" LOL, I can relate with that 😅😁😅
I hope this helped to answer your question(s)
