Secure pass problems in ios

I have the secure pass app for one month now. Since last week it stopped working on my Ipad.

Android version still works. In ios it says it cannot connect because my network has issues.I think the problem is the bitdefender vpn ….. I have mobile security and vpn from bitdefender running.

Does anyone has problems too?

    I have the premium security with vpn include. In mobile security the webprotection for ios is also a sort of vpn.

    i can choose one or the other. But I cannot turn it off completely.

    i deleted the 3 apps: securepass, vpn and mobilesecurity and reinstalled them again. Now it works again….

    Web Protection on iOS relies on a local VPN configuration. However, this is not a traditional VPN that routes traffic through external servers for masking IP addresses. Instead, it creates a local VPN tunnel that enables Bitdefender to intercept and monitor network traffic on the device. Once enabled, the VPN profile allows Bitdefender to analyze the traffic data going in and out of your device. It checks for any potentially malicious websites, phishing attempts, and other threats by scanning the URLs before the content is loaded in your browser.

    Unlike a full VPN service, Bitdefender’s Web Protection does not redirect your traffic through external servers for anonymity or geo-spoofing. It operates entirely locally on your device, ensuring your data remains private and isn't sent to third-party servers for analysis. Since it uses a VPN profile, iOS may show a VPN icon in the status bar while Web Protection is enabled. And since iOS restricts the use of multiple VPN apps simultaneously due to limitations in its network configuration, allowing only one VPN tunnel at a time, the two cannot function simultaneously.

    sometimes it works. Sometimes the error shows up.

  • So, to understand this correctly, this error shows up only when you are connected to the VPN on your iOS device, or whenever Web Protection is enabled?

    no the problem also shows up if the vpn is turned off. The problem also shows up on the android device.

    This afternoon Android showed the same screen. Now it works. on ios it is still not working.

    Other apps just work…. I hope this can be solved.

  • Are the devices connected to the same Wi-Fi network, or are you using mobile data?

    They are connected to the same wifi network in my home. I did not see problems yet with mobile data.

  • After doing some research, it turns out that this error also appears when the vault cannot be loaded either due to connection problems (e.g. connection too slow → request timed out), or from the server. It is possible that the VPN somehow affects the connection, considering that it's still present on iOS. Maybe a reinstall could help. Have you tried that? Another thing, are you using an iPad? I'm asking because although it may work, SecurePass is not officially supported on iPad, at least not yet.

    I tried to reinstall but the problem comes back. Sometimes app is working. Sometimes is not. Problem is also on my android gsm. There it happens also sometimes with or without vpn….. Other apps work here.


    I still have abonnement for passwordmanager from bitdefender for one week. This worked fine for almost a year. If problems continue I ll prolonge password manager again.
