So, i clicked wrong site in my own stupidity...

I wanted to test Klingai videos, and used me Edge browser, just writing on its google page, "klingai", and the first one i got was this (in attachment). I just clicked it, and started making a video, after i got it done, it said its ready to download, i clicked download, and it downloaded a file "Create_standard_mode_video.zip". I clicked it, and it had a MSdos file called "Klingfaceconnect" etc. and clicked that too, not thinking about it (I should have been). And after that, i got suspicious, and checked site properly, almost everything there is fake, when you look at it closer. After that, i downloaded bit defender, quick scan didnt found anything, and now i am running deep scan on it. Damn i feel so stupid, i am usually much more careful about this stuff…

Hi @Weltsu
We all eventually do something like that :) If after your Bitdefender System Scan and if it does or doesn't find anything, you can run a second opinion scan for peace of mind.
Norton Power Eraser will not install a running AV component (it will leave a file for later use) and is used for the occasional on demand scans (which I do from time to time).
Also, you could run the ESET online scan if desired.
After the scans, you could also open Task Manager or Process Explorer to see if anything from that vendors name is running in the background.
Kind regards.

Hi! And thanks, though, i feel so stupid still :D
Whats "second opinion scan"? Like, full system scan for second time? Should i inform about that site somewhere? So other silly people wont do same mistake i did?0 -
A second opinion scan, is one that is independent for the onboard/paid AV used, and is from a different vendor with a different scanning engine. Not all AV's protect 100% of the time, so it's just something you can occasionally do, just for additional peace of minds sake.
According to Virus Total it is clean. So I'm not sure you have to report anything, unless your scans pick something up, besides a PUP?

I will also add Kaspersky Virus Removal Tool as a secondary scanner, in addition to what @Scott mentioned in his previous reply regarding the secondary scanner he suggested. This tool, again, does not require installation. Below is its link. If you are in the United States, the link may not open, and you might need to use a VPN. In any other country, you should be able to access the link easily.

So its clean site? But its still fake site, and lets user's download weird MS dos stuff to their computers… Also whats PUP?
Thank you also for answering, bit nerve wrecking waiting these scans to complete :D0 -
Kindly have a look at the link stated below.
Now, regarding the website
, personally, it also seems suspicious to me—potentially even a phishing site—since it appears to mimic the original websiteUpon checking the website on Sucuri SiteCheck it indicates that the website might be suspicious. Below is the link to the scan result.
https://sitecheck.sucuri.net/results/https/aikling.ai
Furthermore, after verifying the website’s SSL certificate using an SSL checker website, it appears to have a valid certificate, as shown in the link below.

You can also send an email to the support team of
at kling@kuaishou.com to inquire whether the website is also their official website or a phishing website.Regards

PUP is a potentially unwanted program. They are not viruses or malware per say, but annoyances like pop ups etc. in an app. That is why if I ever download anything, I will always check to see if it has a custom install option, which may circumvent a pup install.

Thanks! I will do all those tips you and Flexx gave!

Well, i ran all those AV programs on full/deep scan, and Windows defender too. And zero viruses, so i guess i dodged the bullet there? I guess its still better to monitor for a while, running those AV's again, at some point?
Thank you Scott and Flexx for quick answers!1 -
Hello.
Only the anti-malware researchers at Bitdefender Labs can help you with the issue.
You should report the URL:

You could also share the VirusTotal links of the scanned URL to the anti-malware researchers:

You're welcome, it sounds like you're fine. And yes, I do that occasionally, run the second opinion scan just to be sure 😉😊
Cheers
