Title says it all…a website I know to be safe keeps getting blocked by BD. How do I override that so I can access the site?
You can usually whitelist a website in Bitdefender to stop it from being blocked. Open Bitdefender, go to Protection → Web Protection (or Settings, depending on your version), and look for an option like Exceptions or Whitelist. Then add the URL of the site you trust. After that, Bitdefender should allow access without blocking it. Just make sure the site is really safe before adding it, since whitelisting bypasses the security check.
Hello. If you have Online Threat Prevention enabled, follow the steps from this article: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/1519/ If you have Bitdefender Anti-Tracker installed and enabled, follow the steps from this article: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/28500/ If you have Bitdefender VPN installed and enabled, follow the steps from this article: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/13353/ Regards.
Thanks for the reply. The website(s) being blocked had already been added to my exceptions list, yet the blocking continues. Looks like I need to email BD and get the block taken off manually, because exceptions isn't working
Thanks for the reply. I tried everything you suggested except emailing BD to fix this, and nothing worked. Emailing them is next.
Hello again.
In that case, you should report the URL as false positive to Bitdefender Labs here:
