Why does Bitdefender identify emails sent from my own devices as dangerous?

I have bitdefender on all my devices. I often email myself information, so I know where it is/ Bitdefender always identifies these emails as dangerous! If they are, does that mean Bitdefender is NOT making my devices safe? Confused.

Most likely that's a false positive detection. These may occur, but they don't necessarily mean that the antivirus isn't keeping your devices safe enough. In cybersecurity, there are two phenomena known as "false negatives" and "false positives". Similarly, these can also be encountered in email detection. You can read more abou them here:
