Help! I cannot enable exploit protection

I try to enable it, but whenever I close the app and open it again the exploit protection is automatically set to off again. I tried running the app as administrator but it does not work.I have restarted the system. I have reinstalled Bitdefender and i still cannot enable it.

Repair Bitdefender, by following these steps:

If the instructions from Step 1 didn't help, uninstall the Bitdefender program using the Uninstall Tool:

It will completely remove the program.
Next, reinstall Bitdefender from your Bitdefender Central account and see if the issue has been solved, as reinstalling the program usually solves the issues.

If the instructions from Step 2 didn't help, follow the instructions in this step.
First, take screenshot(s) of the issue
and create a log file on your Windows device using Bitdefender Support Tool, by following these steps:

Next, contact Bitdefender Consumer Support by e-mail:
https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/help/
with short description of the issue.
After that, you will get an automated reply by the Bitdefender Customer Care Team, with your ticket number.
Now, in reply to that automated reply, you can send the screenshot(s) you already took and the log file you already created in the first step.
Since you are all done, just wait for the support engineers to investigate your issue and find a solution to fix the issue.
Remember that the screenshot(s) and the log file will help a lot to the support engineers for better and faster investigation on your issue and finding a solution.
NOTE: If the log file is larger than 25MB, you can upload the log file here:
https://upload.bitdefender.net/
After the upload is done, you will get a notification with the file's URL and then you can share the file's URL with the Bitdefender Consumer Support.

I'm having same issue, when I turn on the detection of exploits it turn itself off after I close the bitdefender window and then reopen it.

I'm having a fresh install on a fresh windows 10 installation, definitely a bug.

My specs:

Acer Swift SF314-54

OS Windows 10 Home 22H2 x64

OS Build 19045.6691

BD Total Security 27.0.55.298

I closed the app and opened it again for several times, and Exploit detection was still turned ON.

My windows is also a clean fresh install windows 11 last version. So it seems the bug comes with a new fresh windows install.

Yes I think that as well as I have an older windows 10 system on which the detection of exploits stays on.

Forgot to mention that in my case, Windows on my laptop was installed on October 16, 2020, so it's not a fresh Windows install.

Please state your product version from the 'About' section, your system architecture (x64 or ARM64), and whether the issue is reproducible after an update and a system restart.

My product version is 27.0.55.298 and the issue is reproducible after restart of the PC and updating.

Oh and my system architecture is x64.

In my case it is x64 windows 11 recent clean fresh install, antivirus version 27.0.55.298. I have uninstalled the antivirus with the uninstall tool 3 times and i can reproducie it anytime i close the app.

What if I keep the bitdefender window open after I enable the "detection of exploits"? Will this keep this feature active as a temporary work around until this issue is fixed?

We are currently investigating this issue and will provide an update as soon as possible. Please note that keeping the window open is unnecessary, as security settings are saved independently of the interface state.

Please manually update and restart the system; this should resolve the issue.

Manually updating and then restarting as you suggested worked, the setting stays on.

Not working for me. Additionally i have reinstalled my windows again fresh clean, updated everything restarted several times still canoot enable it.

What I did to make it work was first right clicking on the bitdefender tray icon then click on update, after the update was 100% I enabled the detection of exploits and then restarted my PC, after reboot the detection of exploits setting was still enabled.

It is working now. I did nothing. I guess it was the auto update. As yesterday i installed windows clean again, i had to restart the system several times, it auto solved in one of the restarts.
