Vulnerability Scan reccurring Threat Notice

When I open my computer every morning, I get the same threat notification. When I initiate the update that Bitdefender recommends, I am notified that the threat has been fixed. However, on my next login and launch of the computer, the exact same threat notification is there with the same update recommendation. This goes on ad infinitum. Can anyone make a recommendation about how to fix this permanently?

Thanks again, John. I appreciate you walking me through the issue. I'm convinced that we have the same issue, and I'm going to relax about it and treat it as an irritating but minor inconvenience.

I'm not sure. I'll open an internal issue for investigating, but I think the usual way (open a support ticket, get the logs etc.) would be much better in diagnosing.
Especially the content of this file:
C:\ProgramData\Bitdefender\Desktop\winupdates.xml

(This would not be the first Window Update causing reappearing issues for various reasons, the most common being the WU reporting the KB as not installed or install failed, when in fact it was - long story).

I also receive this message on my Windows 11 desktop. I reloaded Windows 11 software recently. The messages started after the reload.

This is a "Definition update" for Microsoft Defender Antivirus. This update can happen multiple times a day. The only time I get the messages from Bitdefender is when I reboot or I run the "Vulnerability Scan".

Thank you for the heads up. Would you suggest that I not be alarmed about this reoccurring Bitdefender message? After all, when I reinstall the update, Bitdefender no longer finds a threat. Your opinion would be helpful.

I am not alarmed about this reoccurring Bitdefender message. I check every morning for Windows updates on the computer that has the same issue as yours. I am attaching a copy of my Windows update log showing a listing of the updates, the Windows number (KB2267602) is always the same its the version number that changes.

True, it is an inconvenience, but it should not happen. I opened an internal issue on this, and hopefully we will be able to reproduce and at least understand why it happens. Will follow up with findings.
