I was a client of another global IT/online security/privacy company for around two decades, but very recently switched to Bitdefender.
I am unsure if initial impression feedback is valued or even sought and, if it is, where I should post it/send it. So, in absence of any other obvious location, I offer the feedback here….hoping that if it is of any use, someone will forward it to whomever may value it.
At the outset I stress that, as well as being a new Bitdefender client, I am pretty much ignorant about matters IT !

INITIAL THOUGHTS REGARDING BITDEFENDER
On the phone app:
Love the app-lock facility. Would like if it was also possible to lock the Bitdefender app itself….I know that you can put in a pin to prevent changes to settings, but someone is still able to open and see what current settings are, so better of you can lock the app itself.
Love that you can download the Central app. Would like this to be extended to the laptop facilities.
Love the fact that you can Network scan. Would like this to be available on the laptop facilities as well.
On the laptop app:
Love the safe files facility.
Love the anti-tracker and traffic light extensions to my browser.
Love the clear and easy to navigate dashboard.
Really wish that the email protection and scam protection were extended beyond Google and Outlook, as they does not cover my email service provider.
Really wish that Identity theft protection was available beyond the USA.
Whole account:
I love the continuous, real-time monitoring, threat identification and protection afforded by Bitdefender.
I love the breadth and depth of information about my online activity and reports regarding same which are available in Bitdefender Central, though wish that there was a laptop Central app similar the phone app.
Love the extent of and presentation of notifications in the apps about my devices and online activity.
Love the continuous dark web and surface monitoring.
Email customer services/support has been timely, polite, detailed but clear. That said, with the last security/privacy package I had remote control issue resolution was available directly from the human agent online chat if required….with an issue with my laptop Bitdefender Ultimate Security I have had to book a remote session for days in the future.
I have read of facilities including “One Click Optimiser” for Windows and wish that such capabilities were also available for MacOS.
