Hello, all. We have a Bitdefender Total Security family plan. On our cell phones we have installed Bitdefender and we have activated the anti-theft provisions. When we travel, family members each bring our cell phones and we have some questions in case one phone is stolen:
- The phones are running Android 15 and 16. Based on what I read, and the commands I have available to me in Bitdefender Central, I can remotely lock a phone but remotely wiping the phone is no longer an option. Is that correct? If so, is there a way to restore the ability to remotely wipe a phone?
- One of us is the administrator for our family account, and that person's email address is listed as the administrator's address. Only the administrator has that particular email account on their phone; the other family members have only their own email accounts on their phones. I assumed that if one phone is stolen, we could use another phone to log into Bitdefender Central and remotely lock the stolen phone (or wipe it, if you can tell me how to restore that option). However, today when we logged into Bitdefender Central, the system said it needed to to use 2FA to confirm the identity, and sent a 2FA code to the administrator's email. So here's the question: what if the administrator's phone is stolen? When we try to log into Bitdefender Central to lock the stolen phone, if the system sends that same confirmation email to the administrator's email account, we won't be able to access it and won't be able to swiftly get into Bitdefender Central. How can we avoid getting stuck this way?
Thanks!
