    I have a similar issue.

  • Hi everyone,

    We are aware of the bandwidth issue and we are currently working on a fix. I would like however you to follow the steps below and make the tests. Post a reply here with the results:

    1. Disable Search Adviser from Antivirus tab;

    2. Disable the Antiphishing module for all browsers;

    3. Disable AVC and IDS

    4. Disable Firewall for 5 minutes

    5. Disable Real Time Protection for 5 minutes

    Make a test after each step and let me know if any of them are solving the issue or it still occurs after you disabled all modules.

    All of you have Download Manager installed ? Just trying to figure out a pattern.

    Looking forward to your answer!

  • Try this, worked for me....

    Solution:

    - Restart the computer (Windows Start button - Turn Off - Restart);

    - Press the 'F8' key several times before Microsoft Windows begins to load; you need to press 'F8' until you will be displayed a text menu;

    - Select 'SAFE MODE' in the text menu and press 'Enter'.

    - Wait while Windows loads in Safe Mode; this process ends with a confirmation message; click 'OK' to acknowledge.

    5. Browse to the C:\Program Files\BitDefender\BitDefender 2011 folder;

    6. Search for httproxy.dll and rename it with httproxy.dl_;

    7. Restart the computer in Normal mode;

    This worked for me.

  • for tech support i said that this issue was solved in 2010 version the truth is this issue was only solved in BDTS and not BDIS so please do not make the same mistake.

    to make sure you read this please add reply for this post from tech support

    I enabled most of the protection in the bit defender program. I use flash player to run mega video movies, but i notice the speech in the movies are out of sync. Is this happening with you guys? Thanks.

  • This will only work as long as the next update. The update will write a new httproxy.dll and you'll have to do the rename thing alover again. As I just had to do.

    Hmmm well that ######. Don't know what's taking bit defender techs so long to resolve this issue? By the end of this week i might have to uninstall bit defender and use another AV software, if the problem isn't resolved, because i am using a paid mega video premium account and i already lost about a week and more viewing movies.

    Yup your right. I'm fed up, i will be uninstalling bit defender now. Tech support really poor. Hope they resolve this issue in the future though.

  • Hi Gulbash,

    You can always keep the 2010 version installed until the fix for the 2011 will be released. If you need assistance with the uninstall/reinstall please let me know.

    I'm sorry to keep you waiting for that long, I must wait for the confirmation from the Developing team and they are still working on it.

    Once again please accept my apologies for the situation.

    Actually the file is not renamed if you use Prompt before downloading updates. The files are checked and copied if a product update is being downloaded.

    However I have made few tests and would like to do the same test with you.

    Restart Windows in Safe Mode and rename the file "bdpredir.dll" into bdpredir.old located by default in:

    C:\Program Files\BitDefender\BitDefender 2011

    Restart the PC and let me know if the issue still persist; it should be resolved.

    Captien: the issue was resolved on all 2010 products. Actually no issue that reproduce on all products will be resolved for a single one but for all affected products.
