Hi all

Read the post in regards the Real Time protection failure. I have uninstalled the old 2010 Internet Security today and Installed 2011 version. After installation encountered problem with Windows 7 security center saying that my antivirus is off and the BitDefender 2011 couldn't solve the issue with activation the 'real-time-protection'

Would appreciate you prompt reply

Regards

Ben

  • Hi Ben,

I have finish analyzing the logs you provided me with. You can find the details below:

    - uninstall Protector Suite 2009 from Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel;

    - restart the PC

Uninstall BitDefender using the tool below:

    http://www.bitdefender.com/uninstall

Click on the Uninstall button then wait to be ask to restart the PC. Do so then, after reboot, use a registry cleaner freeware like CCleaner and restart the PC one more time when the cleaning process is complete.

Last but not least, after the PC has been cleaned from any orphan files save then run the file below associated with your PC architecture:

    32bits:

    http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/de...ty_2011_32b.exe

    64bits:

    http://download.bitdefender.com/windows/de...ty_2011_64b.exe

  • Hey Dan

I have another problem now. After un-installation of the program u mentioned everything seemed fine. But after couple of days I noticed that it not working at all! (Refer to the screen shot!). (Sometimes it does work after several restarts, sometimes it crashed in the middle of work)

It is ridiculous , that BitDefender is having such problems, and I have to always check whether I am protected or not!

I am suspected that you would ask me to go through the procedure again so to save your time have sent you PM wilth link.

    Cheers

    Ben

    Hi Daniel,

Thank you for being responsive! The reason I didn't send you the logs is because I it gets stuck each time I launch it on 'Gathering Information' part (Refer to picture) for indefinite time (I have left computer ON twice for whole night, but with no progress)

Moreover I have another problem with Automatic update (refer to the picture) it sometimes shuts down, I have restart the computer each time something goes wrong. When I start my computer 6 out of 10 it works fine, but it is guaranteed that it will throw some sort of error message of different kind.

To be honest I do not wish to uninstall any of my software in order for BitDefeder to work as previous version was working completely fine. Could you help me organize refund as I do not wish to spend anymore time solving this problem!

Hope to hear from you soon!

P.S. I have send dozens of email to support@bitdefender.com with ticket ID 201010071002023 asking for REFUND but it seems BD is very reluctant to such demands. They must admit that BD 2011 isn't the good as previous ones were!

    Hey Ben,

Lastly sometimes BD works fine but windows keeps complaining that antivirus is off (refer to the picture above)! The odd thing is i do full scan my pc every week but BD shows like I never did scan!!
