  • Hi Christian, Yes, I found the Fun Zone shortly after registering BD TS 2013 and there are only three wallpapers there, some badges and info graphics. I assumed that the users would go gung ho and design some neat Wallpapers and Screen savers, but not so, apparently! I installed a nice Screen saver when I was a KIS user,…
  • Thanks Christian, all working now after using the uninstall tool and reinstalling, but the funny thing is, if I have the firewall enabled, it makes only this forum site really slow to load pages. I turn off the firewall just to post this. lol Take care Glad to know that all is well with Bitdefender and Win8!!
  • Just wondering if there's any way to Import Friends List, ie Contacts or Address Book or am I stuck entering them one at a time? My address book is quite large!
  • Got my 2gb without any hitches, but of course my BD Total Security 2013 is regged!
  • I had an issue with Traffic Light, as the installation either was corrupt or something went wrong. It never installed the pull down menu and any access to Google was blocked for some strange reason. I could access any other sites, but not Google! Hopefully the next release will resolve the bugs.
  • Wasn't aware about Remote Control until I rad this Forum. Good to know it's available!
  • Same here. No issues with Safepay when logging into BMO. Works just fine!
  • Hello That option was removed because right now we have new update servers, a lot of new mirrors and the direct download process is a lot faster than P2P technology. Have a great weekend! Progress at work! Gotta love it!

  • To be honest, I don't know why Bitdefender should work flawlessly with a pre release version OS, we just might be expecting too much too soon from a pre release OS, and a newer version of Bitdefender that is trying to get some of the 2013 glitches resolved, and are, thank you Christian cool.gif Ain't that the truth! Don't…
  • Thanks for responding back, keep us posted, as I'm hoping it will settle down and get itself squared away And if it doesn't...settle down, we can all blame you and you will owe us a Beer! All kidding aside, I was also getting the "occasional" reboot notice, but nothing to cry home about, as every new product needs to get…
  • You must have got an advance release, then, being a partner. Two things you can do, then. 1) completely uninstall Bitdefender using the uninstall tool. Reboot your system and re install Bitdefender and see if the problem has been fixed. 2) Contact BD Tech support by e-mail or by phone, explain the problems you are…
  • It would be a good idea to contact Tech support, either by e-mail or by phone, to explain your problem(s) and they will be able to assist you. Have you license number handy for verification, then once your problems have been resolved, you should be good to go.
  • Tech support at BD can on occasion get swamped with issues and that doesn't mean that they are ignoring you, they're just a bit slow responding. I submitted a request, got a ticket within minutes and a reply within an hour, but 4 days does seem a bit much! If that's the case, you can always call them and someone will pick…
  • Metro Apps? Microsoft dropped the name "Metro" some time back due to some legalities, but regardless, that's a Windows 8 issue and not necessarily a BitDefender one. What I would suggest is to turn off BD (temporarily) and see if the Apps work. Keep in mind that Windows 8 is still in Release Candidate mode and not yet…
  • Oh, by the way Midnight, very astute of you to disable it from the Thunderbird reg., and not the Bitdefender Antispam reg. key. Good thinking Well, columbo, after 32 years in IT, mostly sales, mind you, one thing experience has taught me is....to use my head! Think before acting, in fact... think twice! Considering that…
  • Forgive me Midnight, isn't disabling it from Thunderbird good enough (I have T-bird on 2 PCs), were there background running process going on that it needed stopped that way? Just curious. I guess if you ever needed it back, you would just uninstall/reinstall Bitdefender. Inquiring minds want to know I suppose that merely…
  • I found an even better solution and I should kick myself for not thinking about it, sooner. Regedit, Software, Thunderbird, Extensions. Right there is the Bitdefender **** entry and right click, delete, then hasta la vista Toolbar! Completely removed from the Thunderbird Add ons!
  • Go to Privacy Control Settings (advanced), turn OFF Show Bitdefender Toolbar Nope, not quite! I believe that feature is for the Browser Toolbar and not for the e-mail client. I had that feature turned off from day one, but still bd installed one in Thunderbird and although, I disabled it, I would like to completely get rid…
  • That's good to know, columbo, so thanks. Many retailers here will "fire sale" some software towards the end of the year for dirt chea.p prices, so I will pick up a copy of BD Total Security 2012 and use the license for when my current one expires!
