  • The problem is, the Bitdefender uninstaller doesn't work, as indicated in my previous post! It leaves behind Folders and DLLS that refuse to be uninstalled until you reboot into Safe Mode! Then, as I also indicated, it's impossible to reinstall Bitdefender as the Installer will tell you that the program is already…
  • I had a copy of 2013 total security that had to be uninstalled because of a virus,I can't seem to find out how to reinstall by using my license key I had a similar situation after a DLL in Program Files/Bitdefender got infected with a Trojan, identified and supposedly removed by Superantispyware. The Trojan notice returned…
  • Haven't noticed that on Win7 64 bit, so I suspect that the problem could very well be with Win8, considering that it's still in Beta stage and far from being bug-free! You can't really expect a software, any software to be fully functional when Betas are known to be flawed, especially Microsoft warez!! I haven't actually…
  • I agree. But I Think He Knows There Many Problems Which Users Are Facing That's Why He's Not Replying. I Think Bitdefender 2013 Is Still At BETA Stage I hate to inform you, but Bitdefender is way beyond Beta Stage as it works just fine on every system that I've installed it on! I won't deny that there are a few "minor"…
  • Writing down your password and hiding it somewhere where only you can find it, or better still, using a Password Manager might have prevented your problem. I would suggest that you contact Tech support for assistance, as they should be able to assist you! Good luck!
  • Any issues or concerns that anybody has and not getting a prompt response here in the Forum, should be directly addressed to Tech Support, who will respond at their earliest. Simply click Help and Support on the bottom right corner of the main window, then follow the process! If that's not fast enough for you, a phone call…
  • Hi Mark If you're using the free on-demand version, maybe you want to keep that installed just for a second opinion scan once in awhile? Just be sure to temporarily disable Bitdefender On Access scanning during the scan, so you don't have it scanning all the files Malwarebytes is scanning.…
  • Great idea and hopefully the BD Developers will implement that in the near future!
  • The problem hasn't been solved with build 16.20.0.1483 I can't save log file I had a similar issue, when BD detected some Malware and I couldn't access my Hidden Folders until I made the changes, but that only happened once. Everything seems back to normal, now!
  • The way I see it, so long as Bitdefender catches the "nasty" and either sticks it in Quarantine or dumps it, that suits me just fine! Software is suppose to take care of everything, as it's designed to and BD does that quite well!
  • What I have noticed is that a 2nd BD icon appears in the Taskbar and flashes while the immunization process takes place, then the icon disappears, so I assume that it's been completed.
  • I have found that when I open Bitdefender from the Taskbar, clicking on Events, to the left of the settings, will open all the events and by clicking on each one individually, will bring up what needs attention and they can be dealt with. Most are AV scans, Privacy reports, Firewall, Updates, etc and they can simply be…
  • Please explain how this would help to make my email more secure? The AntiSPAM feature in Bitdefender 2013 does a great job of making e- mails more secure, as well as, depending on which e-mail client used, should add even more security, with it's Filters, etc. You will never be able to eliminate SPAM and other threats, but…
  • This is the best argument if someone is not willing to do. There is no question about the Bitdefender's top ranked Protection. But by your statement, then there is no need for Total Security (since it has some extra features e.g TuneUp, Antitheft, File Encryption etc that are not related to the malware protection), only…
  • What I have done is create a Signature, using WiseStamp and have added other pertinent information. The Signature is automatically added to all Outgoing e-mails!
  • There might be, but I'm not aware of any, although you could create a Signature using the BD Logo, etc and attach it to your outgoing e-mails!
  • I work for HP and hear about that problem all the time. The problem is with your Canon printer Drivers which may be corrupt and not with Bitdefender. I suggest that you completely uninstall your printer drivers, reboot your system and install the (updated) drivers and see if your printer is functional! Nine times out of…
  • Thank you Christian, and the Bitdefender team, for including this in the 16.20.0.1483 build :) Noticed that the feature has been implemented in the recent update. Much better!
  • You've got my Vote! I also Vote to have the Flood feature Removed from the Forums, as it's intrusive and darn annoying! Why should we have to wait 90 seconds to post a 2nd or 3rd comment?
  • Hi Laska Are you talking about if you have multiple monitors? as that has been discussed here: http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=36591 Otherwise on a single screen, it seems to stays put. The white X could be removed, and maybe be replaced by a ghost pop up ability to delete it, like the gadgets of old, if…
  • Yeah if the Advanced Settings, Notifications systems and detailed Logging are implemented again like in 2011 version and Kaspersky. Well, if we keep making suggestions for improvements, hopefully the Developers will implement them and make BD much better, although it's feature rich, as is! The main thing is that the…
  • 1. Yes 2. Yes. It is a part of AVC 3. Thanks for the reply. I was aware of the Quarantine feature, although I forgot about it. Silly me! Still have no idea about the Rootkit Scanner, if there is one and the Sandbox! I'll have to dig further, I suppose!
  • I use Bitdefender for 7 years, and is personally acquainted with the developers from Romania. Product I like and do not let me down, if they do the advanced settings like in the 2011 version, it will be better than Kaspersky) I have to agree as there are some features, suggested by the users in this Forum that would make…
  • Voted. I second that, as it's a great idea! Some nasties are more severe than others and I always like to know just how severe they can be!
  • Should any of these suggested features be implemented, Bitdefender 2014 will be an awesome product!
  • Add option "Prompt for Action" (disinfect, quarantine, delete, rename or block etc) in all Scan Tasks and Real Time Protection Settings. You must be a former Kaspersky user, like me, as those features are available in their products! Not a bad idea to have them in BD, as well!
  • I try to explain in some more detail that e.g in the Firewall Module the notification can be for the following options , Block Port Scan (Critical), Adding/Modifying the Application Rules that try to access internet (Informative), Wi-Fi Notificatins (Informative), Any Network Intrusion by malware (Critical) etc. And all…
  • As we say in Russia - hope springs eternal) You're from Russia and you use Bitdefender (Romania) instead of Kaspersky? ******, ******!
  • Silent Security is for only Novice or Average users. Design your Product more customized for Advanced Users as well. I agree as some of us Advanced users would prefer personalized settings and features.
  • Wasn't even aware that there was a Sandbox feature in BD and now I need to find out more about it, as I posted the question in the General Forum!
