  • Hi @Rock.87 I've been using the nordvpn app on my pc with bitdefender total security for over a year now without having experienced any conflict with the bitdefender total security. It does sometimes when bitdefender blocks a threat it shows opened by nordsec-threatprotection-service.exe. So I guess this mean the nordvpn…
  • Hi @Alexandru_BD My second laptop updated to version 27.0.46.231, this laptop is my mothers laptop and after she rebooted she forgot to turn the automatic updates off after the 5 minutes definitions update as I had told her the issue was fixed so at the 15 minutes after boot it updated to the newest version. I thought I…
  • Hi @Smags416 I think the best thing you should do now is contact bitdefender support: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/help/ They will probably have you run their supporttool.exe to collect the logs of the issue you have.
  • Hi @Rock.87 I guess it most likely a bug, you could wait until it updates to a newer version and see if it's fixed otherwise you could contact support and they will probably have you run the bitdefender supporttool.exe so they then can investigate this bug.
  • Hi @oodoo It could be that somethings where updating in the background (windows and apps), this might explain why you used your daily limit in 1 minute.
  • Hi @Rock.87 I have this also sometimes, what I do then is disconnect and reconnect and this fixes it most times for me. When it doesn't I switch to a different server and that then fixes it. If this doesn't fix it for you maybe switching protocols might work. If this however keeps happening on your device I suggest try…
  • Hi @Spiller Yes, every time your IP address changes and you want to log in you get a 2FA prompt for security reasons. The most likely reason for your IP address to change I think is that your ISP has your account set to a dynamic IP address so it changes at an interval that your ISP has set. Years ago my ISP did this as…
  • Hi @Alexandru_BD I have 1 more pc to reinstall bitdefender total security on, I'll have access to that pc by the end of next week. I'll let you know how it goes.
  • Hi @Smags416 Try disabling the "port scan security" in the firewall and see if that helps. Otherwise try disabling features one by one to like the firewall to see which one is causing the issue.
  • Hi @Eric01 Great to hear that it's fixed on your system as well, now I can install the newest version on my other system that had this issue also with confidence.
  • Hi @swes Try turning the adblocker in the VPN off if it's not already off, otherwise change the protocol of the VPN. You can also try connecting to a different VPN region and see if that works.
  • Hi @Alexandru_BD I can confirm that the issue of the version update getting stuck at 84% has been fixed (at least on my pc), it automatically updated today from version 27.0.45.220 to version 27.0.46.231 successfully. Thanks
  • Hi everyone, Update: I've reinstalled bitdefender total security using the install file from central, it installed version 27.0.45.220. I then restarted my pc and waited for the 15 minutes after boot version update check, it then started to update to the newest version which made the tray icon and the widget disappear from…
  • Hi @Spiller You can see all your logins in the "security events", log in to central and then click on your name on the top right of the screen, then select "Bitdefender Account", then a new tab will open in browser, go to "password and security" and then click on the "security events". In the security events page you can…
  • Hi @NeverTrustASMilingCat Try changing the protocol in the VPN settings.
  • Hi @Martyarnp Is you laptop connected with Wi-Fi or Ethernet? If you're connected through Wi-Fi try connecting your laptop with the Ethernet cable (make sure you disconnect from your Wi-Fi first). You can also try changing the VPN protocol, in your VPN setting go to "advanced", then go to "protocol".
  • Gratz to all the defenders of the month.
  • Hi @Spiller When you log to your account has IP address changed since the last time you logged in? Do you have 2FA enabled? If so disable this and see if that stops a code being requested every time you log in.
  • Hi @Spiller Are you using a VPN? It prompts a code when your IP address changes.
  • "Another question comes to mind: How would anyone know exactly when to resume the product updates? " Could it not be made possible to revert a version update? When you have a buggy version running having the option to undo the latest version update and revert back to the previous version.
  • Hi @conlar58 Have you tried changing your VPN server location? Some VPN servers might be blocking things on sites while other servers do not.
  • Hi @RedsFan The issue I'm referring to is the update interval checker that changes itself from 1 hour to 8 hours, not the issue that you have with there not being an update available for many hours. I have this as well btw, sometimes there is not update for like 10-12 or longer hours, mostly there are updates every few…
  • That would be fun to see indeed +1
  • That be nice to have brand gear with perhaps more than only the brand name but also with the bitdefender logo and other security related designs.
  • I second this request +1 and I would also like to be able to delete a notification without having to delete all notifications.
  • Hi everyone, The issue with the updater time interval changing from 1 hour to 8 hours has to do with the profiles. When profiles is turned on and then activated by using an app that activates profiles like for example vlc media player it then triggers the update interval change setting. I've turned profiles off until this…
  • Hi @Alexandru_BD The issue of the updater changing the update interval from 1 hour to 8 hours has indeed to do with the profiles, when profiles are disabled it never changes the update interval but when profiles are enabled and activated by for example you use vlc media player then it immediately changes the update…
  • Hi @Alexandru_BD @Flexx My mobile app on android updated to version 3.3.255.2480 and in this version the app no longer freezes and crashed after running a second manual scan one 1 minute after the first manual scan. It seems to been fixed thx.
  • I have this issue as well, the update interval keeps changing from 1 hour to 8 hours. I'll try as has been suggested by @Alexandru_BD and turn the profiles off and see if that fixes it.
  • Good idea, especially to easily find your scan results +1
