I've got this sorted - I turned on total web blocking in a test policy and it worked for some sites and not others. A search revealed you have to scan HTTPS traffic as well. Makes sense.

Thanks Scott - Malwarebytes has a test page to demonstrate the functionality. Maybe BD could consider something similar.
