Cyber Essentials Scan Web Pages for malicious content
I'm working with a client on re-accreditation for the wonderful Cyber Essentials certificate. One of the questions is this:
"Where you have anti-malware software installed, is it set to scan web pages you visit and warn you about accessing malicious websites?"
Malwarebytes (which I use personally) blocks malicious websites with a warning "Website blocked due to trojan".
Does Bitdefender do something similar and has anyone got a website that I can use to prove Bitdefender is blocking malicious websites?

Yes, Bitdefender will throw up a "Dangerous page blocked for your protection" notification. See the article image.
As far as providing links to test that feature, it is against forum rules to post such links, but maybe you could try using one of the blocked websites from MBAM, if you still have that blocked website location recorded.
Posting malware samples and /or URLs is not allowed in the community! Do not post direct links to any executable files, malicious/suspicious software or websites in threads, comments or private messages, even if you think the software or site is clean and incorrectly detected by Bitdefender.

Thanks Scott - Malwarebytes has a test page to demonstrate the functionality. Maybe BD could consider something similar.

Yes, I like that idea, too. If you wanted to, you could start a thread to ask for a test site, that ability.
edit: I wonder though, how much those sites would really tell us, as in the wild, things could be different as the online threats can change from minute to minute, hour to hour. Maybe it's like testing the AV component with a static eicar file...it's pretty known, been there done that, type of thing?

Rob, when you say you're using Bitdefender, and comparing it to MBAM, are you using the Home version, or the Enterprise version?
