  • No problem Sandbar, hope it resolves the notifications.
  • Under Advanced View, Antivirus->Shield->Custom Level button there is an option that says "Show Warning when virus found". I believe if you uncheck this that will turn off the notification. There is another setting under General->Settings to "Show pop-ups" that says it controls "informational alerts", so you might try this…
  • BD has a separate uninstall tool, not sure if you used that one or uninstalled it straight from Control Panel. You might want to give Revo Uninstaller a try, it is freeware and it has an option to do a deep analysis that will search for registry keys and leftover files. I used it today to uninstall BDAV 2010 to go back to…
  • Thanks for the info Sm3K3R, it's a shame these 2 don't play nice together. I'm partial to Zonealarm so I installed BDAV 2009 and that combination works fine. I hope BD is able to address this issue soon, I am willing to provide any debug files that are needed to help identify and fix the problem.
  • Diana or someone from Bitdefender - can we get an update on this issue?
  • Just updating my previous post, I uninstalled and re-installed the latest version and the tray icon is back. Obviously not something I want to have to do all the time, but for now all is good. Guess next time I get the message after an update saying I need to reboot I will keep my fingers crossed and hope for the best!
  • Found the offline installation files in case anyone is interested. The links are in this post. Will try to reinstall later and see if the tray icon reappears after updating.
  • Did a little more digging today and still can't get the tray icon to show up. I noticed that bdagent is no longer listed in Taskmgr, but it is set as a startup item along with ieshow in the run registry key. I also tried the Terminal Services suggestion posted earlier and set it to automatic but that didn't do anything…
  • Same problem here with the missing tray icon. Was pulling my hair out trying to figure out what happened until I came here and saw this thread. At least I know I'm not alone!
  • Thanks for the info Sm3K3R. I have BD installed on my laptop which doesn't have an Nvidia graphics chip so maybe that is why I don't see the problem. I run another AV program on my main computer that has a Nvidia 9600GT chip, but based on this thread I don't think I'll be installing BD on it anytime soon. Hopefully the…
  • I installed the program over the weekend and what I noticed is that each time it updates it creates a new folder in the "Threat Scanner" folder that is approximately 34MB. The update I see for today is in a folder named "av32bit_8937" and yesterdays is "av32bit_8926" and both are the same size, so is it really doing an…
  • I thought the purpose of game mode was to minimize the impact of the resident programs so they don't interfere with the game performance? I have my setting disabled and I haven't had any problems running full screen programs and losing the focus back to the desktop. Can someone post a screen shot of the message indicating…
