  • Confirmed on my end, too. On both partitions running Window 10, one with BDIS installed and the other with AV+. In Chrome with Bing search, as well as Google, and FF with Google search. I'm in Auto Pilot with Search Advisor and scan SSL on. Everything is up to date, Chrome, BD and Windows 10. Verification of builds…
  • In my case I can now reproduce the "off" display at will. This may be what I had done previously, and why it happened so fast. I have Windows Explorer set to open files/apps with a single click. If I double click the Widget to open BD, I get that glitch with the Protected text. It doesn't happen when I double click the…

  • You're right, there is not an option to select a install location other than the default BD install location on the main OS, C: drive. I believe this is because it is so closely linked and tied in with Central, it makes it easier for Central install, validation etc for BD when it's in the default BD install location.
  • For those reading this thread and running Windows 7 or 8, you will not see that option to disable Antimalware Scan Service in the BD Settings/General, as that feature is only present and incorporated with Windows 10 and with BD using that AMSI feature. A helpful forum link can be…
  • There's hope yet That's so nice that Phil chimed in to give us a hint of him having that same issue with macrium, and then Sergiu's suggestion (and link) to whitelist in safe files/application access. What a team effort .....hope I haven't jinxed it by speaking to soon
  • 1 hour ago, Sergiu C. said: Hi, Do you have Macrium configured in a certain way? Can you give us more details on this ? We are still not seeing the one-drive error mentioned in the initial posts. You can also try whitelisting Macrium in the Safe Files module: https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer/support/answer/2025/ Good…
  • Nice try. It sounds like it's pretty much resolved as far as what you have to do in disabling the safe files at boot. You've really been diligent at all this, maybe now you can take the rest of the night off and have a cold one
  • Nice job, brihy1. It sounds like you narrowed it down. It may help BD support to consider this, as Phil had the same issue with his 1 PC. Now that you know, or it seems to be the case, do you think those processes (macrium) be added to AV Exclusions, and especially to the Advanced Threat Defense application Whitelist and…

  • On the main Bitdefender UI, confirm that Wallet is turned on. Go to the Privacy Icon (eye) ->View Features and confirm it is turned on. Then also restart Chrome.
  • Hi dustinito It can be reinstalled from the Chrome web store, found here: https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/bitdefender-wallet/fabcmochhfpldjekobfaaggijgohadih Hope this helped

  • 2 different PCs, that one's now out of my league with my simple suggestions, hopefully Sergiu or Sebastian may have some follow up thoughts. Hope it gets figured out for you, brihy1.

  • I tried this on 3 PCs. 2 running Windows 10 Home 64bit one with BD AV+ and one with BD IS, and 1 PC running 7 Professional 64bit with AV+. I have Safe File/Protection at Boot enabled, and AV Advanced Shield Settings/ Early Boot Scan enabled. I have about 1/2 doz files and folders in OneDrive with no issues at boot and…
  • Not a language, no wonder it looked so foreign to us Thank you Sergiu, for posting to let us know.
  • To be honest, it happened so fast, about 2 seconds, that I don't remember but it was far enough off that it got my attention. It could have been the same language you posted, as it was obviously different. Good question to ask though, in case it's a certain language that consistently pops up, compared to it being…
  • Yup, that happen to me once last week. It lasted about 2 seconds and reverted back to English. Thanks BD team that you're already aware of this and working on it
  • I've found at times the same thing can happen with CCleaner. Probably for the same reason(s) as Sergiu mentioned?

  • Hi Jake, and welcome Yes you can, just be sure to uninstall BD on all the devices you are currently running Total Security on. I would suggest using the Uninstall tool from here. Then go into your Central account and remove those devices from your account. Click on each device, then go to the right hand corner and select…
