When I run the uninstall tool I noticed that is says: delete main registry keys. FAILED Everything else it says not found, since it has been successfully deleted. Anyone know what these main registry keys are called. May help finding them easier if I know their names

install and run the RegCleaner available here, then use it to clean all the BD remains and check if you are able to install the new version. I used that and CCleaner. Still not able to reinstall. Keep getting this in the message bow of the unistall tool. unistalling Bitdefender 2009 delete remaining registry values. failed

Since it asks for a reboot a few days ago mine computer has been a mess. Finally got my computer up and running again, but can not reinstall BD. It keeps telling me older version not successfully uninstalled. Spent hours today on it. Missed 3 hours of work yesterday because I was at home trying to get my computer working.…

I ended up downloading Malewarebytes' Anti-Malware and running it. It found ever parts of the infected file and removed it. Scan is clean now. Kind of annoyed that I still have not received a response from support, and had to use a free software to remove the problem.
