Thank you. Unfortunately due to some other problems I've had to uninstall BD. Hi Hew2nd, Please provide me with more details about the issue you encounter and I will try to my best to provide you with a simple, fast and reliable resolution. Also please enclose a screenshot of any error message you may receive. Looking…

Please see answers below. thanks for the reply. Hello, @Nouchet @hew2nd Further to your query, I do believe that the issue is caused by a faulty upgrade to the 2010 version of BitDefender. Please provide me with the following information: - a screenshot of the error message you receive related to Outlook and BitDefender…

Yes I can. That seems to work OK Can you manually start a full scan?
-
Excellent - thank you.

Thank you for this reply. Late yesterday I deleted the winmail.exe file and then did a restore to a previous date. Last night I ran a ful scan and a deep system scan and both came up with no threats found. That appears to have cured it. Unless you think I should do the below items anyway you can close this with my thanks.…

Thank you - I think I resolved it. If not, I'll repost. Feel free to close this now. Hello hew2nd, Please post a BitDefender scan log. Cris.

This worked, thank you. Sorry it took me so long to respond - for some reason I missed this when you first posted it and just found it. Did the clone yesterday and it worked today. Thanks again. Please go to BitDefender - Antivirus - Virus Scan - right click on Deep System Scan and select Clone. Try to schedule a new…

Yes - that works. I've been doing that on a regular basis since this problem started. (Remember - before I couldn't change the scan schedule and you gave me a patch - which fixed the problem but created this new one.) Thanks Please tell me if you are able to start a scan by going to Advanced View - Antivirus - Virus Scan -…

Been here done that. See previous posts. Thanks for helping. You will now have a page, on the right, where you can set the scan schedule. If you want the scan to run once a week, choose the middle option and select a day. If you want to run the scan more often, select the first or third options, where you can set hour…

No - it is not listed there. The date of the next scheduled scan did, however, roll to tomorrow. At the time when the schedule is suppose to run, please open the task manager and check if "uiscan.exe" is running. Please let me know if you have this process listed there.

Thanks - that got me part way there. The schedule is now cleared - it stopped scanning at 6:00 pm, but now it won't scan on any schedule I put in. I'm running Vista with two accounts. I've tried it with the same schedule set in both accounts and with one account with no schedule and the other account (the administrattor…

Thanks for this reply. And now the stupid question - where can I get the 2008 version? I uninstalled it when I installed 2009 and now can't find the program. Thanks. 1. Can I go back to 2008? Yes 2. Will my license still work for three machines for the balance of the time? Yes 3. Do I need to uninstall IS2009? Yes use…

I am still unable to update. I've tried these patches, done the repair function and retried these patches, updated the patch an retried and still no luck. The error message says "invalid server or proxy settings" but I do have Internet access. Thankyou

I am having the same problem. Hope we get a reply. I purchased Internet defender 2009 a couple of weeks ago for my new laptop. Took me a week and some net research to realize BitDefender was responsible for removing all my message rules in Vista Windows Mail. Has this problem been resolved? I purchased the DVD for…

Yes, My Vista program is 32 bit. Just to clarify, the BitDefender Antispam toolbar should work with Windows Mail, however this toolbar (for Outlook Express and Windows Mail) is available only for 32bit systems. We should collect some debug data regarding the .dll responsible for the toolbar in Outlook Express / Windows…

Can anybody help with this? Thanks.
-
Thanks - Vista is the 32 bit versioin, and Outlook is on the same system - same user. There are two users on the system - one has both Outlook and Windows Mail and the other has only Windows Mail. The same situation applies to both users as it relates to Windows Mail. Hello! Is your Vista a 32bit or a 64bit version? You…

Perfect, thank you. Been looking all over for that. If you want to change the default scan time for version 2009 you can do this by opening BitDefender - Advanced View - Antivirus - Virus Scan - right click on the type of scan that you want to schedule and select "Schedule". There you can select the hour that you wish to…
