  • This things STILL exists. Will this ever get fixed? It's freaking annoying as that extensions that I don't want to see are forcibly enabled by Bitdefender Free. It's literally the single reason why I'm not using Bitdefender Free which is otherwise an excellent AV. But this bug is really dumb and annoying.
  • Well, it's certainly not desired and at least for me really annoying.
  • It works fine. Why are people so scared running anything. It's not like they changed the core. It's still old Windows 8. If it works on that one, it will on any Win8.1 as well.
  • Real-time would still pick it up when you'd run it. So again, why grind entire HDD for something it would get detected anyway?
  • It's still pointless. Unless their real-time module is incapable of performing scan cache optimizations. In which case it's really badly designed. I turn off the Auto Scan thing, but being slightly OCD, i hate seeing (or knowing) that option has a yellow border around and says "PAUSED". It's just annoying.
  • Are BD Free protection capabilities the same as with Bitdefender 2014 apart from extra features that free version doesn't have. I want to know if AV-C and AV-Test results also apply to BD Free or they don't.
  • I don't get it why are guys at Bitdefender so obsessed with doing on-demand scans to begin with. Why the ###### do they have real-time protection then, if it's grinding the disk constantly with unnecessary on-demand scans!? Quick scan should be done once a month and Full scan should only be done by user and should NEVER be…
  • As far as i remember the presentation computer wasn't brought in by Symantec, thats why it had Kaspersky on it.
  • Well, one of the most sophisticated are certanly polymorphic file infectors like Polipos, Zmist and a like. All the versions of MyDoom and Beagle are just lame mass made buggy variants mass replicated and slightly modified by ****** kiddies.
  • Vlad, check out the UNA guys at Malware Research. UNA is participating there too. Ask them about this file and maybe they can verify it wether it's their or not.
