WOW!! what a surprise. Another super popular problem with this program. I have been having this issue for over 4 months now and have tried everything to make this work as good as the 2009 version. (including a clean installation of windows xp sp3.) Today i'm tossing this POS out the window and getting something else. I…

I never attempted to "remove" anything from quarantine. I never attempted to use "System Restore" or anything like that. First, I uninstalled BitDefender. Didn't even bother with it - except for disabling "Real-time" protection. I just downloaded the third-party (non-OS) programs shown in the quarantine list and installed…

Look here folks... ...it's not that difficult. 1. Disable BitDefender's "Real-time protection" 2. Find out which programs you need to download...then download them 3. Download the BitDefender patch 4. Uninstall BitDefender 5. Reinstall your programs 6. Reboot your machine 7. Install BitDefender 8. Install the patch 9.…

Here is how I fixed my Win7Pro 64bit machine...in order: 1. Opened BitDefender in Expert Mode 2. Clicked on "Antivirus" tab 3. Deselected the checkbox labeled "Real-time protection is enabled" 4. Uninstalled BitDefender 5. Downloaded programs which were quarantined (Firefox, BitDefender, VLC Media Player) 6. Downloaded…

I had to reinstall Firefox, BitDefender, VLC media player, and download the BitDefender patch. I first uninstalled FF, VLC and finally, BD. Then, rebooted. Reinstalled FF, VLC, and BD. Upon the installation of the BD patch, I was prompted to reboot. Rebooted...and all is working properly. (Win7pro 64) I shudder to think of…

Your argument suffers from many fallacies, the first of which is that of equivocation. A failed ISP is something almost expected and there are ways around that such as arranging face-to-face meetings or using the connection of a local coffee shop; this, on the other hand, is something completely unexpected from an…

I know...many people are out...and lost lots of money with software, mp3's, precious photos, etc. If anything, it has cost me time. I'm partially amused though - by the pithy and sarcastic comments from users on this forum. LOL - it's great fun. I do believe we who experienced this bungle should be given some sort of…

I do believe there is a 30 day refund policy. I would use that if I were you. haha the irony! Today is day 31...my "Registration" tab says: "The license key for this product will expire in 334 days." hmmm....365 - 334 = 31? LOL no refund for me

The marketing page http://www.bitdefender.com/2010/en/2/compare.html Says, "BitDefender has more features than other anti-virus packages." Yeah, like Operating System Removal

The problem described in this thread is affecting 64bit systems. Are you sure that your system is 32bit? Because this problem shouldn't be affecting you, according to what was said until now. Yeah, it's a 64bit system. I couldn't remember which disc I used when I installed it...the 32bit, or the 64bit...and it was the…

bdagent or something like that was missing on last reboot. Also, the quarantined system files in: C:\Windows C:\Windows\System32 etc. etc. When I attempt to restore them, I am prompted to "Browse" for the file location and the alert indicates that the path cannot be found. What??? Path to C:\Windows cannot be found?…
