Here are the steps you can take to protect your identity:

    1) Place a fraud alert on your credit report. This will put a flag on your credit report, which will make it more difficult for someone to open a new account in your name. You can place a fraud alert by contacting each of the three major credit bureaus: Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion.

    2) Lock your credit report. This will prevent anyone from accessing your credit report without your permission. You can lock your credit report by contacting each of the three major credit bureaus.

    3) Monitor your credit report for any unauthorized activity. You should check your credit report regularly for any signs of fraud, such as new accounts opened in your name or inquiries from unfamiliar creditors. You can get a free copy of your credit report from each of the three major credit bureaus once per year at AnnualCreditReport.com.

    4) Change your passwords. Make sure to change your passwords for all of your online accounts, including your email, bank accounts, social media accounts, and any other accounts that contain sensitive information.

    5) Be careful about what information you share online. Only share personal information with reputable websites and businesses. Be wary of clicking on links in emails or social media posts, as these could lead to malicious websites.

    6) Use a security solution. A security solution, such as a firewall and antivirus software, can help to protect your computer from malware and other threats.

By following these steps, you can help to protect your identity from being stolen.

If you believe that your identity has already been stolen, you should take the following steps:

    1) File a police report. This will create a record of the theft and may help you to recover your losses.

    2) Contact the credit bureaus. You should report the theft to each of the three major credit bureaus. They will place a fraud alert on your credit report and may also issue a credit freeze.

    3) Place a fraud alert on your phone. You can place a fraud alert on your phone by contacting your carrier. This will prevent anyone from activating a new phone line in your name.

    4) Close any unauthorized accounts. If you discover any unauthorized accounts, you should close them immediately. You should also contact the creditors to report the fraud.

    5) Monitor your credit report for any further unauthorized activity. You should continue to check your credit report regularly for any signs of fraud.

    Hello,

To me, it sounds like you were advised of some sort of data breach where your personal information might have been compromised. Depending on the nature of the breach and the leaked data, there are various prevention steps that you can take. @Flexx provided some useful recommendations in his comment above. You can decrease the chance of your information being misused by knowing what to do if your data is involved in a data breach.

Below you can find some advice:

Bitdefender does provide a service that monitors your digital footprint. I would recommend Digital Identity Protection to find out if personal information has ever been leaked across the Internet and to receive instant alerts about any new breaches. This service will also check whether your digital footprint leaves you at risk of identity theft or social media impersonation. You can find out more by clicking on the link below:

I hope the information is helpful and please note that I have deleted the duplicate thread.

    @difa

    Bonjour,

Le problème n'est pas forcément lié à votre PC.

Exemple un organisme qui possède vos coordonnées ou l'un de ses prestataires a pu être piraté. Exemple de Pole Emploi:
