HI, Regarding WebRTC, is it still important to protect browsers from this data leak? Chrome does not have the setting to not display the IP (that I know of), so you need to use some extension to install in the browser. But is it so important to protect yourself from this, or is WebRTC no longer a concern? My question is…

Hello. -- STEP 1 -- Repair Bitdefender, by following these steps: -- STEP 2 -- If the instructions from Step 1 didn't help, uninstall the Bitdefender program using the Uninstall Tool: It will completely remove the program. Next, reinstall Bitdefender from your Bitdefender Central account and see if the issue has been…

Have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling Bitdefender?
-
I agree. @Alexandru_BD can you report this to the developers? Thanks!
-
+1 votated.

Have you tried again? You solved?

@Flex anticipated me, however what he indicated is correct, except on the last point. In fact from my experience when it finds a running threat it blocks it and automatically quarantines it. Only for on-demand scans then you have to choose what to do with the malware found. So I think this behavior doesn't change from free…

I continue to be convinced that the signature and product update processes must be optimized by looking at and comparing the same processes with other free AV that are lighter and faster. 😉 See my update in the post of tips and changes to be made to the BD Free version. 🙂

I return to this issue, because I'm using other free AV and I must say that I notice the difference between what I use and another tested for a short time and BD Free. The difference is mainly in terms of performance especially on an older PC (but I think if it's optimized for old PCs let alone how it works on recent…

Oh yeah @Alexandru_BD unfortunately one of the most beautiful regions of Italy was hit by a very strong storm with very serious damage to the population and infrastructure. Let's hope everything gets resolved as soon as possible. A dear thought goes to all the Emilians. 🙏…

You find the feature in the online safety settings.

Look at this last test...unfortunately Bitdefender Free didn't go well... 😔

Thank you @Alexandru_BD as always! A question for everyone, but for those who have installed Bitdefender Home (free or paid) is it also necessary to install the TrafficLight extension to increase web protection, or is it not necessary because it would be redundant protection with the AV web protection?
-
Yes @Scott the product is excellent, light and effective, compared to many others who then also propose to switch to paid versions. Just a slight restyling would be nice (although I already like it as it is) but perhaps with updates that make it, especially in the eyes of the less experienced, a followed tool and therefore…

Hi @Fatima_Hss are you referring to the free version? The free version does not need any activation code. Just download the setup file, install it and register an account.
-
It was a race with many red flags… I saw it all. 😉

Thanks @Alexandru_BD as always, you were very precise and exhaustive in explaining the various features of Bitdefender Home. 😉 This also helped me to better understand how BD Home edition works. 😊 Obviously the plan to change PC is there but after the wedding...hahaha... 😁😅
-
I also expect the "Photon" function to come into play, adapting to the type of machine and hard disk, thus optimizing PC performance even during startup. 😉
-
@Alexandru_BD support please... 😉
-
Yes and I don't have any other programs (only the basic ones) in autostart. Not all users are experienced and patient, many simply uninstall AV and move on, especially when it's free. I hope the developers will intervene as soon as possible.
-
Thanks for your feedback and data. 😉😃 Surely a PC with HDD suffers more than a PC with SSD. So my post was just to be able to pay attention to older PCs. So surely if these processes can be optimized in some way, the first PCs to benefit are those with HDDs and consequently also those with SDDs, albeit to a lesser extent.…

Ah ok then I'll open a specific post in the community. Thanks! 😉

Thanks @agozob for the attention. 🙂 @agozob in Bitdeefender Home is it possible to optimize the "Bitdefender updater downloader" process and subsequently the "Bitdefender Test Engine" process? Because they use a lot of hard disk resources for many minutes, around 5 minutes each time the PC is started and each time…

Hi @agozob, I suggest an improvement regarding the automatic start settings of the Free version of BDM. 🙂 Unlike some apps, in BDM Free for some (and perhaps many of the latest generation) to ensure that BDM Free starts automatically every time you turn on your smartphone, you need to set the automatic start setting in the…

HI, i ask both developers if it would be possible to change the icon of the free version of BDM. Perhaps it would be nicer to always have an icon with a "B" possibly a little different from that of the paid version so as to make users understand at a glance that it is always a Bitdefender product and therefore a guarantee…

I'm very passionate about this subject... 😂and I'm passionate about tests in general. I like to see what happens and how AVs act in various types of attacks. 😃😉dans Does Bitdefender Also Check Emails With The "eM Client" Email Client? Commentaire de Nunzio77 27 mars

Hi @Guilhermesene it certainly wouldn't bring any profit but a user would understand that it is always a free Bitdefender AV and therefore would be more driven to install and use it and by increasing the number of users who use the Free version. Bitedefender would gain from users who use their cloud and therefore the…
