Uninstall BD then Repair/Reinstall Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable ,reinstall BD. Also check the system RAM with Memtest and Prime 95 ,maybe you have bad RAM/improper BIOS setings. Or maybe you re just another unlucky fellow for whom BD doesnt work properly.

Maybe you need more system RAM and a faster hard drive. When there is little memory the system uses swap memory more(which is on the HDD ) . Also do a full system scan with BD.Last time i was infected (sometimes in 2005) my hard drive was working hard ,it was the little Jeefo at work .

andrei-alpha ,inainte de Bitdefender ce antivirus/antispyware ai mai folosit ? Unele produse au obiceiul sa uite drivere prin sistem , generand astfel conflicte cu driverele BD. Incearca un repair al instalarii din panelul Add/Remove. Updateaza driverul placii de retea la ultima versiune.

Poti sa urci fisiere suspecte pe serviciile virustotal si/sau jotty . Nu mi-ai luat timp din timp ,mi-a facut placere sa rezolvam problema .

What BitDefender 2009 version are you using ?Is it Antivirus, IS or TS? If you re using a suite (that includes a firewall) make sure the BD firewall has proper rules for IE. If you re not using IE for browsing (which would be recommended) ignore the problem .Browsing via IE is quite dangerous this times.
