While waiting for a fix, we can probably find a work around here. First, we need to know which BD module is causing this. Probably try to disable the modules one by one like real time protection, AVC and Firewall. Once we know which module it is, then we can figure out a way on how to add it up on the exception list.

- Does Bitdefender scan SSL email? Yes it does. It is under the Antiphishing Tab.
-
Yes, it does sell you a license but you can then input the activation code. Once it's in, BD server will then recognize that code to b good for 3 PCs.

Hi Abu, have you tried the steps below yet? To turn the Wallet protection on or off, follow these steps: Wallet protection for your credentials 143 Bitdefender Internet Security 2015 1. Open the Bitdefender window. 2. Access the Privacy panel. 3. Click the Wallet module. 4. In the Wallet window, click the switch to turn on…

Hi first, you can isolate if it's AVC or realtime protection that's causing your Outlook issue. Try to disable those modules one by one and see which one would make a difference. I would then suggest to add Outlook on exception list.

As a work around, how about if you add Opera on the exception at Active Virus control? That should do it.
-
That explains it. I just hope that this gets fixed onto the next version. It's not really that much of a resource needed anyway to make changes, I hope.

I think that it's a sales tactic to have auto renewal bundled with the product purchase. They put it in the fine prints but as always including myself, no one would read that. I wish this will be taken out though.
-
Thanks for that example. Is there a link or an article that would confirm that? Or at least a confirmation also from a staff?
-
I also want to isolate the obvious. I need to ask also if you have some other security software installed here that might cause a conflict?
-
Check the thread below. I think Georgia can manually activate this for you. http://forum.bitdefender.com/index.php?showtopic=43507

Found this by the way. If you do not release your handle to a resource, other people may not be able to access it - this is why you sometimes cannot delete a file because Windows claims it is in use. In general, if you are opening handles and not closing them, it is analogous to leaking memory. You should figure out what…

Hi. Try to white list these ports onto the firewall. Steam Client UDP 27000 to 27015 inclusive (Game client traffic) UDP 27015 to 27030 inclusive (Typically Matchmaking and HLTV) TCP 27014 to 27050 inclusive (Steam downloads) UDP 27031 and 27036 (incoming, for In-Home Streaming) TCP 27036 and 27037 (incoming, for In-Home…

I think the files are digitally signed by that company. Thus, it doesn't get caught. Try to set Active Virus Control to aggressive and see how it goes.

There doesn't appear to be an edit so you just add a new bookmark with the correct details. Thanks for that. Not sure if this has been suggested before but it would be really nice to have the feature of being able to edit the entries as well. It's more time consuming that way.

I'd like to have this as well please. Right now, I can't seem to find a work around.

Having no support yet to Windows 10 yet is understandable. This isn't the final version yet and who knows what Microsoft will change prior to releasing the final version. I'd wait for it though.

This is what I found at the user guide for you. System tray icon To manage the entire product more quickly, you can use the Bitdefender icon in the system tray. Note If you are using Windows Vista, Windows 7 or Windows 8, the Bitdefender icon may not be visible at all times. To make the icon appear permanently, follow…

Here you go. Chrome: In Google Chrome: 1. Open Google Chrome. 2. Go to the Menu icon. 3. Click Settings. 4. Click Extensions. 5. Point Bitdefender Wallet and click Enable.

Hi. Sorry but I'm lost here. How can we as users prevent this. Just making sure that BD is up to date?
-
I think he meant auto scan for a new file. I'm not sure though but I think that would be scanned automatically if real time protection is enabled.
-
I think BD is just busy with other projects or maybe it's something else. But yes, I agree this lacks features when compared to other security software.
-
This might need deeper investigation to see what BIS module is causing this. But first, have you tried to disable real time protection first and see if it makes a difference?
-
Hi Gilles. I would double check first if the browser is slow or the internet. If it's a browser, you might want to disable the browser add ons one by one until you will notice a difference. Then you could I guess decide what next steps to take.
-
First, have you ran a full scan yet? Does BIS detect this threat? It should be able to clean it out.
-
Hi Widunder. Just giving you a heads up so you won't be surprised. For sometime, there is no version update anymore but the virus database is still updated.
-
Additionally you can go to manage Add ons page and manually uninstall unnecessary entries there. You can also make sure that your default search provider is something that you know or trusted.
-
By the way, upon uninstallation, make sure that you also delete the left over files and directories. Also the registry entries as well before you reinstall it.
-
Hi. I think it has been that way as well as other providers. They do this for added security as well. What I can suggest is to back up your data regularly. Maybe using a USB flash drive or from a cloud.

Hi muzikisrich, I think Customer Support will be the only one to help you out here. I'm not sure but I'm hoping that they can give you a refund.
