How to get rid of Zeus 2020

My computer got infected with Zeus2020 which opens windows every 5 minutes on my PC requesting to install McAfee… I decide to purchase BitDefender yesterday. After an 8 hour scan last night, the program told me this morning that my PC was clean and there was no problem

My question: did anyone had to deal with these annoying Zeus2020 pop=ups and how did you solve the problem? I was hoping that buying BitDef would prevent me from factory resetting my laptop… Any advice will be welcome

Was so frustrated to go through the different steps in the proposed solutions that I decidedto use the ultimate weapon: factory reset the computer!

After resetting, I reinstalled Bit Defender and everything is fine… except the French M6 TV channel does not allow BitDefender to access their program if you live in the US (as explained in my message in the VPN section)

I also have a zeus.2020 trojan infestation, on an HP laptop. will a factory reset remove the Trojan? I would think so, but a web search suggested some Trojans can survive that by hiding in the bios or the recovery partition. is this true and if so what can should I do to fully remove this Trojan.

Additionally, follow the steps below.

1) Open the Run command and execute the following commands one by one:

temp – delete all the files in the folder.

%temp% – delete all the files in the folder.

prefetch – delete all the files in the folder.

2) Reset your web browsers:

As far as a factory reset of Windows is concerned, it will remove all malware from your system since Windows is reinstalled from scratch. However, I believe you may be dealing with adware rather than a trojan, which can usually be resolved without performing a factory reset of Windows. You can try the steps provided above first. If those steps fail, then you can proceed with the factory reset of Windows.

Is it really a trojan, or a fake virus infection message?

I have essentially same issue/ concern. I guess I don't know whether it is real Trojan or fake message - how can I know for sure? I went through the anti Trojan protocol, from bitdefender community, used rkill, then Malwarebytes, then Hitman pro, am I done or is there a need to also get zamana anti-malware and are emsisoft emergency kit. ?
