Troubleshooting Bitdefender VPN Issues: How to Resolve Common Problems
Hi Everyone,
I’m having trouble with my Bitdefender VPN—it keeps disconnecting randomly and shows error 8200 (Broken Tunnel). I’ve tried reinstalling the software and logging in and out multiple times. Flushing the DNS helped for a short time, but the problem came back after a day or two. I can’t find any information about error 8200 in the FAQs or community.
I’m also having issues accessing the [*url removed by @Flexx*]. Each time I try to open it, my Bitdefender VPN disconnects. This is causing me serious problems, so I’d appreciate a quick solution to this issue.

There could be several reasons behind it, such as network connectivity interruptions, firewall settings, or the server you are trying to connect to might be experiencing issues, such as overload or maintenance, leading to the broken tunnel. I also think that the best way to move forward would be to seek assistance from Bitdefender Support, as we cannot know exactly what's happening there without more information.
To speed up the resolution, make sure to have the following information available when contacting the Support engineers:
- The OS on which the VPN is running.
- The affected account.
- Whether the problem occurs on a
specific location or all locations? - IP of the affected server(s)
- If using standalone VPN or VPN in BMS
- Whether the problem occurs only on mobile data or only on Wi-Fi or present on both.
Preferably try multiple networks. - App version.
