what doesn't Netgear Armor protect on mobile phone? ie. messages, spam, email, calls

First, make sure you are using the latest firmware version of Netgear Armor.
In a nutshell, Armor protects devices connected to your WiFi and Bitdefender Security, which you can install on your personal devices as part of your Armor subscription for on-the-go protection on Windows PC, macOS, Android, and iOS devices. If, for some reason, the protection is inactive or doesn't work as expected, I would also recommend to get in touch with Bitdefender Support so they can check what's happening there.
