Allow and Deny access to Mic n Cam via Notif Dialogue
Sorry for the following:
- Not checking previous posts
- Being unable to find the option if it exists.
But yeah, my idea is self-explanatory from the title. what other easiest/quickest way to shutdown unintended access, or grant intended access.
:)
i hope it gets implemented sometime in future soon.
PS: I personally always wanted AVs to shut down Mic n Cam right away unless permitted, and ask whether to Allow, Allow Once, Deny

Hello @lostb053 and thanks for joining us here.
Check if this article answers your questions:
In short, you can choose which apps are allowed to access your webcam, among other useful settings and you can turn ON/OFF webcam protection altogether, if desired. And you can opt to receive notifications when allowed applications connect to the webcam.
Hope this helps.

I'm aware. My suggestion here is about building on top of it.
For example, current working of BD is like
- I install a new app
- If I block all camera access, no app can be configured at all to access Cam
- If I don't block access, and not let BD decide automatically to allow apps Cam access, I need to open BD app and manually give access.
- If I don't block access and let BD decide for app permissions, it could give Cam access to apps that I'd rather avoid.
So at this point, how to streamline the process of giving or removing access to Cam?
Make it possible in the notification dialogue to Allow or Deny access.
How to avoid even the briefest unintentional Camera access (in scenarios where BD allows access cuz it's safe, but I don't want the app to have that access)?
Shut all new apps all the same. And allow access to Cam via notification dialogue when needed.
That's the idea. Hopefully I explained it clearly so it's not too confusing.
