Bitdefender VPN won't connect and I get an error code 99 after installing sequoia on Macbook pro. Has been working perfectly for many months prior

To get immediate update, make use of the chat option.
Also, ensure you do not have any ad-blocker or privacy-blocker extensions enabled, as they might prevent the chat window from appearing.

Thanks Flexx. I contacted support and they gave a fix and it worked!
1. Download the update tool from this link: Download Update Tool (https://download.bitdefender.com/resources/files/KnowledgeBase/file/MigrateBitdefenderVPN.zip)2. Double-click on the downloaded archive to open it.3. Then, double-click on the file it contains to run it.4. A new window will appear - please click on Run.5. Open Bitdefender VPN again and click Connect.
I followed all the 8 steps here already and no success. Multiple restarts. Different networks. Just doesn't like Sequoia it seems. There is a glitch somewhere. When I uninstalled it wouldn't reinstall for a long time either - something is clashing somewhere
