It bothers me when
Hi Everyone: I continue to get a message that a new device has been detected, when I have not added a new device within the last 3 months. AND I sometimes see something about a Linix device - I have an HP laptop Windows 11, a Samsung tablet (Galaxy Android) and a Samsung phone (Ultr23 Galaxy Android) . I also have an Amazon kindle which has not been added, but is a few years old.
Why doesn't Bitdefender know what is new and what isn't? Thanks.

Hello @ZBarb,
Where do you see this message? Can you post a screenshot of the notification? Are you using Netgear by any chance, or a Bitdefender home solution? I would take a screenshot and ask the Support teams for more details on this, because I think it's hard to tell what's going on there based solely on the information above..
If necessary, you can use this link to get in touch with them:

Following up here, is this what actually happens? Could be unrelated, but the "new device detected" part caught my attention:

Hi Alex - I believe this is the 'new' device - which I leave plugged into my laptop - pretty much all the time. That's why 'new device' didn't compute. I store most of my 'stuff' on the D drive, rather than trust it to the cloud. One never knows the exact color of that cloud. Gray wouldn't be good.
