Firewall not present in protection tab
My protection features menu of antivirus plus does not show a firewall button/choice. The other 5 choices like Antivirus and Ransomware protection are there. After reading a lot on this forum, I have reinstalled Bitdefender. Still no firewall choice. The Windows 11 firewall stays active.
Reason for wanting to try the BD alternative is that suddenly my Canon scanner aborts with a message that hits to a firewall problem.

Since the repair of Bitdefender did not solve your problem, you can try to completely uninstall Bitdefender using the uninstallation tool that you will find on the page below:
When the bitdefender uninstall is complete, reinstall Bitdefender from your Bitdefender Central account.
If your problem persists, you can contact Bitdefender support from the page below:
Follow the on-screen instructions and select the desired communication channel (chat, phone or email). For a quick contact, use the chat.
If you opt for email contact, you will need to fill out a form and then receive an email with an incident ticket number related to your request.

It is not a repair issue or support issue, it's a lack of the firewall module that is not included in the Antivirus Plus version of Bitdefender.

You are absolutely right, Bitdefender Antivirus does not integrate the firewall.
Having said that, I read @Dik99999’s message again and he doesn’t mention that he uses Bitdefender Antivirus Plus. Unless of course the machine translation tool I use (Reverso) is misled. I thought he was using at least Bitdefender Internet Security.

Thanks, that clarifies why I cannot see firewall options. Sorry I used the text 'antivirus plus' that should read Bitdefender Antivirus Plus. It does not solve my problem. However, that's a Cannon community issue, I think.

If you wanted to eliminate any possible cause on Bitdefender's end, you could see if adding the scanner into Antivirus Exceptions would help.
Also, if it has an .exe file, add it into Advanced Threat Defense Exceptions as well.
Otherwise, as you mentioned that it may be more of a firewall issue, would be to reach out to the Cannon Community.
