No software on the internet is foolproof; everything can be manipulated, which is why bugs and vulnerabilities are fixed by different vendors for their respective products. Bitdefender is no exception. Bitdefender receives bugs and vulnerabilities like other software and addresses them through regular updates
It's important to note that while VPNs and security software like Bitdefender strive to provide robust protection, they are part of a larger cybersecurity strategy. Regular updates, user vigilance, and best practices are essential to maintaining security. Bitdefender's commitment to frequent updates and improvements demonstrates its dedication to staying ahead of emerging threats.

I haven't watched that video yet, but I'll start by stating the obvious here. VPN only does so much to anonymize your online activities. It's designed to protect your personal data, hide your IP address while connected to unsecured wireless networks, and access restricted content in certain countries. But it won’t protect you online, like an antivirus does.
As for hacking, I think it's a tough shell to crack. Of course, if a software has unpatched vulnerabilities, attackers could potentially exploit these to gain unauthorized access, but this VPN comes with high encryption standards, regular updates, and a strong emphasis on security. Bitdefender VPN uses 256-bit AES encryption, or the highest available cypher supported by both client and server, with Perfect Forward Secrecy. This means that encryption keys are generated for each new VPN session and erased from memory when the session is over.
When talking about the risks involved, I think it boils down to user behavior as well. Engaging in risky online activities, such as downloading malicious files or visiting compromised websites, can lead to security breaches, even when using a VPN.Regards

One more thing here and this just crossed my mind now, Bitdefender uses RAM servers only, so in the unlikely event of a data breach, there would be no data leaks, because nothing is stored in the first place. 😉
