Since upgrading to Windows 11, I've been having issues with logging into one of the banking institutions I use. It works fine using Microsoft Edge, but not in Safepay. Other bank logins work fine.
@camarie I think we've seen this before a few times, right? 🙂
Yes, we do have an ongoing investigation regarding Royal Bank. The first diagnostic support remote session is in 3 hours.
Thank you both for confirming. Good to know that there is awareness on the issue.
@camarie if you have any news on this, you can always follow up here. Many thanks for your help! 🙏
Followup: The RBC issue has been fixed (and confirmed with 3 separate support remote sessions). Currently I have one final fix reported on pcfinancial.ca website (fixed, and I'm currently testing it). An update containing both will be released in the next period, probably around May 15th.
I experience the same problem with RBC.
I made sure the VPN is not active.
I still can't access my Royal Bank accout through Safepay.
No problem if I try directly from Google Chrome which indicates me that the problem seems to be between RBC and Bit Defender Safepay.
It has nothing to do with VPN. RBC website uses an experimental feature to perform some kind of detection, assuming every browser (almost anything but Firefox) does this in a fixed, expected way. Safepay now incorporates this feature and the fix will be released in the next period.
Hello.
It seems that the issue has been fixed with version 27.0.53.265, released on June 26, 2025.
Regards.
I seem to still have no bank access ability to PC Financial, even since the June 26 release and now I also cannot access Simplii Financial using Safepay.
This is quite strange, since until that release there were issues reporting pcfinancial.ca login had problems in Safepay. We confirmed thru several remote sessions pre-release 265 has fixed the issue.
What kind of issue are you encountering? Similar with the 1st post in this discussion?
I enter my card number and password and click submit and it tries to connect for about 45 secs and then just stops with no error or anything. Basically nothing happens.
An update addressing (I hope) will be released in the end of August/start of September. While I cannot be 100% sure without having an account and performing all the steps, we managed to detect an incompatibility between Safepay and the website which is now addressed.
