Anti-theft Remote Actions RE: iPhone/Mac

Hi all, new user here, so forgive me in advance….

I have deployed BD to a whole bunch of my families device, my x3 Android & x2 Win all working fine as expected.

Today i deployed all to x2iPhones, a Mac & x2 iPads and the only difference i notice across the board is that in central, i can Locate, Alert, Lock and wipe all of my devices. However all of the iCrap cough sorry Apple products, these options are not available. Only 'Scan' or the occasional 'Update'.

Now i've tried a couple of things, done a lil' research and on one hand i read that due to some Apple policy this function was disabled back in 2020, but in other threads i#ve read this functionality should and is available. Whats the official BD position? am i leetting myself down a rabbit hole here or can i get the ability to track the iphones working or not?

I’m not entirely sure about the Mac version, but due to Apple’s strict security and restriction policies, Bitdefender Mobile Security for iOS does not include an anti-theft feature. However, Apple provides a built-in solution called Find My iPhone, which allows you to locate, lock, or erase your device remotely in case it’s lost or stolen.

Yeah, you're not imagining Apple’s restrictions do limit what third-party apps like BD can do, especially around remote actions like lock, locate, or wipe. That functionality was pulled back around 2020 due to Apple’s tighter security controls. Only Apple’s own “Find My” system has full access to those features on iOS/macOS. So, unless something's changed recently, you're not missing a setting’s more about Apple locking down those capabilities.
