I have been using iCloud Passwords for a long time. When I activate Bitdefender Password Manager, will both be updated in parallel?
When you activate Bitdefender Password Manager, it operates independently from iCloud Passwords. The two services do not sync or update each other automatically. Any changes made in one will not be reflected in the other.
If you use both simultaneously, you will need to manage passwords separately in each system, which can lead to confusion and inconsistencies. For a smoother experience, it is generally recommended to choose one password manager to avoid duplication and simplify your workflow.
Unlike many other password managers, iCloud Passwords does not offer a direct way to export your saved passwords. This limitation makes transferring your passwords to Bitdefender Password Manager challenging, as there is no built-in export option.
While some third-party tools or scripts claim to facilitate exporting passwords from iCloud Keychain on Macs, these methods are often complex, may pose security risks, or could violate Appleās terms of service. Therefore, manually copying or re-entering passwords is usually the safest approach.
If you plan to fully switch to Bitdefender Password Manager, it is recommended to manually input your existing passwords or use any trusted import options provided by Bitdefender. Always ensure you handle your sensitive data securely during the transition to protect your privacy and safety.
