It is a powerful tool aimed at removing persistent malware that cannot be detected or removed while Windows is running, as it functions outside the normal environment, allowing access to files that are usually protected or in use. However, it’s important to understand that the Bitdefender Rescue Environment does not follow the exceptions set within the main Bitdefender interface. This means that even if certain files or locations are excluded from scans such as On-Access, On-Demand, Embedded Scripts, or Online Threat Prevention in the regular operating system environment, the Bitdefender Rescue Environment may still scan, quarantine, or delete these files if they are identified as malicious.
